St.Anger

The song "St. Anger" by Metallica expresses a feeling about anger that many people in this world would see as childish, or unreasonable. They view anger as a way to express your feelings easily, they see anger as an escape from your own prison of misery. They believe that you should "set it free". "F*** it all and no regrets I hit the light on these dark sets. I need a voice to let myself go free." are just some of the lyrics of the song that express this twisted view on anger. Now I'm not saying that anger is always the best way to express your emotions, but sometimes you need extreme measures to get a point across. "Anger is a gift." another song this one by Rage Against The Machine. Many view anger as a quick release, but if used as a healthy escape, or even release from your own emotions it can be healthy. i used to have, and still at some times exhibit a certain problem with anger. as I've grown I've learned to channel my anger into healthier things such as football. I still believe that if used at the right time anger allows you to voice your opinion, or feelings at certain points in your life. i feel that nothing in this world is completely useless, and this includes anger. as viewed by many anger is an escape, a release, and sometimes even the strong at heart need an escape from the world.
