Playlist for taking a walk

I love taking walks. After a long day at school, nothing feels better than hitting the sidewalk with my Sansa and my golden retriever, Ricky. In the crazy hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s the only time I get to do absolutely nothing but think. And move my legs. But mostly think.

1) Everything we had- The Academy Is…
A nice little song to calm you down and de-stressify you.

2) Happy- Nevershoutnever!
Everything we had is a good song, but it IS kind of a downer. So what now? Happy. Duh.

3) When I look to the sky- Train
If you’re outside walking around, you have to listen to this song. Just don’t do what I do and actually look to the sky. You will most likely walk into something.

4) I’m not your boyfriend baby- 3OH!3
So, your walk is winding down and you’re running low on energy. 3OH!3 to the rescue!

5) Don’t try so hard- Queen
This one’s a must. If only for the lyrics.

“Dont try so hard
Oooh dont take it all to heart
Its only fools that make these rules
Dont try so hard.”

6) Lemon tree- Oasis
I know we were only supposed to have six, but I just couldn’t take any of these songs out. And, after all, no playlist would be complete without my favorite song. This song will cheer you up any day, no matter what.

WAKE UPPPP!!!!

This is by far the hardest blog we've done yet. At least for me, it was ridiculously hard to get rid of songs from the 35 song playlist I made and labled blog. As I was goin' through my music just picking songs that I have grown to love, and could listen to over and over I realized I had way too many. So I had to go through and pluck out five songs, which I have to admit just about killed me inside. As I was picking my music I realized this would make a perfect "wake-up" playlist. So in order here is my playlist:
1. Slow Ride by Foghat- just imagine waking up to that initial guitar riff, your volume set on "escalating". This song is my alarm about 60% of the time, and always helps to get me out of bed.
2. What I Got by Sublime- hell the beginnig of the song is about waking up. And the mellow beat, and smooth guitar make for an easy wake-up. Now, the lyrics may be a little "off" for some of you, but I love'em.
3.Why Don't You Get a Job by The Offspring- I love the first line, "My friend's got a girlfriend and he hates that bit**!" Hahaha, it gets me every time! You could even substitute this for the first song if you need a quick wake-up. But the vocals aren't "screamo", but they are screamed and they'll just help to keep you awake.
4. The Little Things by Danny Elfman- NOT COLBIE CAILAT! I've had many people go through my iPod and mistake the two. If you've ever seen the movie "Wanted" you'll know this song. It's beat is heavy, but not quite metal, it's just a good song to keep you awake.
5. Deliverance by Bubba Sparxxx- This is WAY before the Bubba Sparxxx everyone listens to. This is not that "Miss New Booty" BULLSPIT! This has an amazing southern rock/rap sound. The guitar riff in this song is so mellowing, I like to walk out of the house listening to this song of I can. It just soothes my soul, and almost makes me forget I'm on the way to school.

Perfect Playlist

This assignment actually came at a pretty convenient time. You know when you're driving and the guy in front of you is so astoundingly incompetent that you're surprised anyone ever allowed him operate a motor vehicle? And you honk at him for ignoring how four-way stop signs work at the Fontaine-Lakeshore intersection, but it just doesn't seem like an adequate expression of your rage? And you're thinking, god I wish my car had metal spikes on the front of it so I could just destroy his rear bumper and then pass him and laugh in his face?

With that said, I have combined five perfect wrath-inducing songs that will not quell your fury, but rather feed it. It is not recommended that the listener actually rear end anyone while listening to the playlist, regardless of whether their car is metal-spike-equipped or not. Therefore I chose a title that still involves revenge, but skips out on most of the bodily harm caused by car accidents. I dub this creation "The Perfect Playlist for Keying the HELL out of Your Arch Nemesis's Car," even though I realize that keying cars is so 1990's. Bear with me.

1. If You See Jordan by Something Corporate. The first three choruses of this song begin with "If you see Jordan, he makes me sick," but I guess by the fourth one, Andy McMahon was too pissed to be creative, so the chorus changes to yelling the simple but effective lyrics "F--- you Jordan, you make me sick." The last line of the song is "I don't care if you dye your hair, you'll always be a little redhead b----." Enough said. It's the perfect anger song.

2. I Said It Before by Just Surrender. I’m not a huge fan of this band, but this song is definitely a good one for fueling rage. It’s not very long, but it doesn’t have to be, because it has enough spite to kill a baby elephant. “You’re a coward and a liar at best. Keep walking, kid, and choke on your regrets.” That’s the line you should listen to when you’re kicking out their headlights and/or shattering their windshield with a baseball bat.

3. If You’re Lucky, No One Will Get Hurt by Daphne Loves Derby. First of all, the chorus of this song is crazy awesome, whether you’re destroying someone’s car or not. DLD is just an impressive band in general. The only thing that could possibly make this song even cooler is the fact that the lead singer is an adorable Asian guy. Unexpected. I love plot twists.

4. Harder to Breathe by Maroon5. Okay, I had to. I don’t care what kind of music you’re into, you like Maroon5, even if you don’t want to admit it. And this song fits really well into the playlist because it has that angry sort of beat to it that just makes you want to, you know, break things. You just have to ignore the sexual undertones (by undertones I mean really obviously sexual lyrics throughout the entire song) and you’ll be fine.

5. When You’re Around by Motion City Soundtrack. While this band has a tendency to write adorably random, cute things most of the time, I thought this song was a good closer for the playlist. “The least you could do is take it back, all the vicious remarks and verbal attacks. Cause I can’t f---ing stand it when you’re around.” Despite the lyrics, the music itself isn’t too harsh, and should bring you down nicely from your glass-smashing, paint-scratching, hood-denting high. It will give you a final sense of justification before you realize—damn, you’re probably going to end up on Judge Judy.

In Between Dreams

Although at first this seems like a reference to a terrific Jack Johnson CD, it isn't. What I am really talking about is that period when you are falling asleep. You are slowly drifting out of conscious thought and into 20 second scenarios....then you are back to thinking about your day...then out again in a strange half-imagined dream world. These are the songs I like to take with me.

Lua, Bright Eyes- This is stage one of falling asleep. Still coherent lyrics that keep you thinking and awake- but Conner Oberst's shaky voice and lonely guitar is enough to comfort you into sleeping. The song is so gentle and lyrics are so empty and cold that you feel safe in your bed. Ironically, the album is called "I'm Wide Awake It's Morning."

The Predatory Wasp Of The Palisades Is Out To Get Us!, Sufjan Stevens- This isn't my favorite song on the Illinois album, but it is still amazing. I just find Sufjan's voice gorgeous and the instruments that find their way into his songs always come together to make a masterpiece. At this point in our sleep journey, you are still awake but begin to drift away to his story and dreamlike flute in the beginning.

The Dream of Evan and Chan( The Postal Service Mix), Dntel & The Postal Service- Just an awesome, awesome electronic song. We take Ben Gibbards voice, put it to this dreamlike beat, with sweet, pretty lyrics and a slight voice distortion. At this point you are nearing the sleep world. Repetition is great way to help you sleep- but instead of counting sheep, you can listen to -"Ringing, ringing, ringing on...," repeated again and again at the end of the song, as it slowly fades out into silence.

Brothers On a Hotel Bed, Death Cab for Cutie- The intro of this song is unbelievable. Nothing that special is really happening, but the pianos tune meets up with the drums and I simply love it. This song is soothing and perfect when you aren't really awake enough listening anymore.

House of Cards, Radiohead- Last song on the list because Thom Yorke's voice is so unbelievably chill here that I can barely stay awake listening to this song at any time. It echos in and out along with the guitar and, honestly, you are asleep by the time it is over. In a good way, of course.

Equilibrium

People react to music in different ways. I know some friends who pay closest attention to lyrics and those who look through songs and songs to find perfect guitar riffs. Personally, I operate to the mood of the music. As weird as it sounds, I physically and mentally react to the songs I hear. The following is a list--in no particular order--of cacophonies and daydream songs that have given me the you-just-caught-me-lying lightheadedness or something of the sort.

1) Ten Million Slaves - Otis Taylor; this guy's a beast at banjo. I love this song because the feeling of the song is mischievous more than penitent. Also, it helps that TMS was the main track on Public Enemy's soundtrack.

2) No Handlebars - Flobots; it's a song portraying the cruelty of corporation, and I love the ironic innocence of the sound. It's one of the few songs I've listened to a hundred times and am yet to be bored by.

3) A Dios Le Pido - Juanes; I sound like a total dork for listing this song, but it's perfect. It's like the solid form of happiness, and because a lot of people don't know Spanish well enough to understand it, it's a perfect exercise for feeling the music.

4) Daylight - Matt & Kim; the ultimate daydream song! Matt & Kim have perfected such a lighthearted genre. I find it hard to breathe when I hear this song because it feels like someone put a huge balloon of optimism in my chest.

5) Cemetery Drive - My Chemical Romance; I feel like I should name something of MyChem's considering I gave them a year of obsession. Anyway, my father once told me that the human brain survived on both negative and positive energy--it always had to equal out (that's why people always feel giddy walking out of a scary movie!) And this song is anguish. Seriously, I've cried more to this song than anything else--and every time I do, I feel better.

Easy Duz It

In no particular order:

Mind of a Maniac - Boosie
Great bass with some calm lyrics to jam to while out in the cut driving.
Closer to the Sun - Slightly Stoopid
Have to have a touch of reggae in here and slightly stoopid is great although they live in the shadow of sublime who is also a great band. Song is slow and easy with catchy high pitched acoustic guitar part and the always popular bass and drum rhythms typical with reggae.
Pursuit of Happiness - Kid Cudi
It's so hard to choose just one of kid cudi's amazing songs but I could definately listen to this one over and over again. good bass with great sound and awesome lyrics.
Stupid Wild - Gucci Mane
As hard as it was to pick a kid cudi song it was 10000000x harder to pick my favorite gucci song but this is a recent one that has a catchy chorus and as always, is hard. BURR!
Till I Collapse - Eminem
One of the best lyricists of all times. Love the feel and rhythm of the song.

Purple

The Remedy- Jason Mraz
Best Days- Matt White
Fix You- Coldplay
Somewhere Only We Know- Keane
The Unwinding Cable Car- Anberlin

Everything in my world is organized into colors based on how I feel and how I perceive things. It's really hard to explain but these songs all go together because they are all purple songs. Purple is the most calming color for me, most of my days are purple, especially in the winter. I like it that way. So these songs should make you feel like I like to feel. Calm and good.

Down in the Dumps

When you're down, one of the first things people grab for is their iPod. Everybody has different tastes, but music typically is something we like when we're in that bad mood. This is the perfect playlist for when you're feeling blue (not like a smurf, like a crying smurf.)
5. Like Toy Soldiers -Eminem
This genius song is one in which Eminem releases his anger about a couple topics, including a feud with another rapper. I like this song because it's got a cool, relaxed beat that can calm you down, while the lyrics explain his feelings.
4. You Belong With Me -My girl (Tay Swift)
Even the stars have troubles, as TSwift recognizes in this song. This song helps you feel like you're not alone-even Taylor struggles (though she eventually gets her dude.)
3. Hailie's Song -Eminem
The lyrics "sometimes I feel like the world's on my shoulders/everyone's leaning on me" often relate to how I'm feeling. Em sings (yeah, I said sings) about his daughter and some of the regrets he has. He then proceeds to rap about the same topic, providing a nice balance of rap and.
2. Live Your Life-TI feat. Rihanna
This seems out of place with these other mellow songs, but I like it because it gets you out of that bad mood. The song's title and chorus suggest that you shouldn't care how others are living, just live your life, which I like. It's upbeat tempo brings happiness, and T.I.'s lines speak out about how worrying about insignificant things like "what kinda car you in," aren't worth the troubles.
1. Sing For The Moment -Eminem
The greatest song of all time combines the sweet chorus of Aerosmith's Dream On with the sweet rhymes of Marshall Mathers. I've always loved this song, but it has it's niche-when you feel down. It has a very relaxed tempo and sends a message concerning the problems with society today, especially the young people.

Top 5 Alter Ego Songs (that I could find in 30 minutes)

Many of us want to be someone we're not. To know certain people, drive a certain car, act a certain way, or live a certain life. Alter egos have been a trend among certain celebrities, often musicians to better their performance (a la Beyonce aka Sasha Fierce). It seems like the grass is always greener on the other side. So here are five songs to embody that alter ego longing:

5. Just My Imagination- The Temptations
It tells a lovely story of a man and his fantastic girlfriend who he is going to marry and have "two kids, maybe three" with. However, it turns out "she doesn't even know [him]". What a shame. For those longing to be loving someone who doesn't even know you, be it that guy down the street or Eva Mendes.

4. People Are Strange- The Doors
This song describes how our background can effect our perceptions ("People are strange when you're a stranger"). Maybe less alter ego and more alternate reality?

3. Paper Planes- M.I.A.
It had every nerdy teenager girl thinking she was a "bonafide hustla' ". You can't get much more of an alter ego than that.

2. Escape (The Pina Colada Song)- Rupert Holmes
A song about discovering other sides of yourself and others. Rupert Holmes is sick of his dreary everyday life and looks for someone whom he can drink pina coladas and get caught in the rain with. For those who are not into yoga.

1. Walk on the Wild Side- Lou Reed
This song inspired this playlist. For those who are tired of their ho hum lives and are thinking about driving across the country to take a walk on the wild side.

*Foux Du Fafa- Flight of the Conchords
For those who wish they could speak French.

Music for a Monday Mo(u)rning

Very similar to a workout, Mondays require a pseudo-enthusiasm that can only be induced by external things, like the music we listen to. Except instead of the criteria for this playlist just being that it has to be upbeat or by an attractive artist we wanna work out to look like, it also includes a message of optimism to give listeners a shred of positive energy on their Monday morning.

1. Hakuna Matata
movie or Broadway version acceptable
Explanation kind of unnecessary.

2.The Climb
Hannah Montana
Pace more relatable. But message still strong. And really pretty!

3. Sweet Silver Lining
Kate Voegele
Actually, this one is a teensy bit sad. I'm never totally sure what to feel after listening to it. Except driven to do some vocal exercises; her voice is SO pretty. And motivation is good for a Monday!

4. I Feel Pretty
West Side Story
I would LOVE for this to be stuck in everyone's head one day.

5.You Raise Me Up
Josh Groban
Another one that also makes you kind of want to cry. But it's moving! And makes you wanna do good things, raise other people up.

Break-Up Music!

Ok so its kinda a little known fact that I listen to country music. Im not exactly sure why I love it so much. My parents dont listen to it and none of my friends really do but I have pretty much since I started making my own music decisions. I was really excited about this blog cause I recently made what in my opinion was quite possibly the best playlist ever. But then I realized there wasnt a very good underlying theme and it was 17 tracks long so it was going to be difficult to limit to five songs. But I was listening to music while doing my homework and I thought of something my uncle used to say. "Country music is about dogs, trucks and heartbreak." I dont really like dogs nor do I own a truck but every teenager has experienced or will experience heartbreak so I decided to make a break-up playlist. It is almost unavoidably nessasary for either you or one of your friends and while this one is a bit countriefied in my opinion it is stellar for a rough break-up.

5. Girls Lie Too- Terri Clark
So this isnt directly related to breaking up but its a girl country singer. It makes me laugh almost everytime I hear it plus its almost totally about relationships. Its just a very sing-along positive song.

4. Heartbreak Town-Dixie Chicks
Just look at the title and you can realize what this is about but its so sad, while being really pretty. It also doesnt have a direct break-up in it but you can kinda see it coming. Plus the word HEARTBREAK is in the title!

3. Forever And Always- Taylor Swift
I could have made this whole playlist Taylor Swift but I felt I needed to include other great breakup songs. But it was really hard to pick which one to put on here and I just like this one. Did you know its said that she wrote this for Nick Jonas?

2. It Happens- Sugarland.
This is such a bad day song. I tried not to put depressing, sad songs on here but instead more upbeat songs. I think this qualifies.

1. Best Days Of Your Life- Kelly Pickler
Best break-up song ever!!! Just listen to it and you will understand what I mean. Or if you want Embry and I can sing it for you. Were very talented.

So I realized after I had done this that these are all girl vocalists. I think that that is very appropriate as well. Not only is my playlist countrified but it is also girlified. Perfect:)

Perfect Mixtape for Dying

Editor's note: Death is by nature an intensely personal experience. The compilation described here is designed with a only single person in mind. If you feel this playlist does not reflect your personal mortuary desires, feel free to come up with your own. And also, f**k you. I have great taste in music.

1.) Wrapping Paper - Cream

Finding out that I'm dying will be distressing. I want to have something to calm me down; something almost yellow in its mellow. Wrapping Paper is that something. It's absolute nonsense in a happy melody sung by people who were tripping BALLS. And Jack Bruce's voice is a military grade tranquilizer. I'll be probably end up more unconscious than relaxed.

2.) When I Am King/Be My Yoko Ono - Great Big Sea/Barenaked Ladies

Glee will no doubt still exist in the distant future; and, out of sheer desperation, I assume they will have done a compilation of these songs with the original artists, who were guest starring. So I can use them both. Ha!

But anyway. The Great Big Sea and Barenaked Ladies were the bands of my childhood. There aren't many similarities between the two, beyond having two lead singers and being extremely Canadian. But they formed the only "genre" of music I fully realized existed until the seventh grade. This is what music sounds like to me; these are the songs that I can sing all the words to and most of the instrumental parts. Be My Yoko Ono is earnest and clever and quirky and sweet; When I Am King is basically the collective mind of fourth graders everywhere expressed in bagpipes. They are the meanings of the word "music." It would be a crime not to include them.

3.) Wagon Wheel - Old Crow Medicine Show

All mixtapes need filler. Might as well have quality filler.

4.) Blood Bank - Bon Iver

This one pulls double-duty: reflecting on sad stuff and girl/boy stuff, depending on whichever I'm pursuing by the time of my demise. For the uninitiated, Bon Iver is a bearded man who lives in a cabin in northern Wisconsin, and who has the worst case of Seasonal Affectedness Disorder (S.A.D.) that anyone has ever experienced. His music is sad without being slow; he Autotunes his voice into layers and layers and layers, creating a wall of sound more profound than anything Phil Spector ever crapped out. And yet it still makes weirdly excellent mood music. I'm not kidding. Really fantastic. Ask around.

5.) Send Me On My Way - Dear Abbeys

This is the greatest accomplishment of the human race. Twenty-four men singing every single vocal and instrumental part - including drums! - to that one song from Matilda. There is no reason such a concoction should work. But it does. The Boston College a cappella managed to make that stupid an idea into my favorite song. It's weird that it would be. But no song makes me happier; no song brings so much unrestrained joy. No song would be more fitting to die to; especially if you want to die happy.

Bus Playlist -869

To all of our fun times on the bus...Matthew, Austin, Mitchell, Jake (short jake), Athie, and Chelsea. These are 6 people with whom i have developed an almost unique relationship. Except for one person from the list, i only see these people and talk to them on the bus. This pattern has more or less continued for the past three 3 years and as you all realize, when u are riding the bus home, everyone is tired and exhausted from school and what better way to finish the day then for everyone to just sing!

This play list is devoted to MY 6 Bus buddies (sorry if i left anyone out)

5. Halo-Beyonce
I first heard this song during the summer at work and became totally obsessed with it, dont ask me why i liked it so much because i dont know. Anyways, this is more or less a slow song with a nice rhythm which has been claimed by Austin and Mitchell. It is their song. Until recently whenever it would be Austin, Mitchell and I on the bus, we would always end up playing it and singing along, but times change and people change so that doesnt happen anymore.

4. Love Story-Taylor Swift :)
This is a song that basically we would all jam to. It about how she dated a guy whom she really liked but he wasn't very popular and was in difficult circumstances. Its a type of song that everyone knows the lyrics too and was just a fun song where all of us could sing together.

3. Party in the U.S.A.- Miley Cyrus
Once again another girly song. Sorry guys i cant help my taste in music. This was possibly one of the most enjoyable songs we would all jam to. Its just a fast upbeat song which proved to be a favorite among us. Especially Jake who would always ask me quietly if i could play it

2. The climb-Miley Cyrus
Alright this one is a little weird but according to some people im a weird person so here goes. I attempted to sing this song with one of my closest friends. I really did try but this person kept making fun of me buts thats fine because thats what friends do. Chelsea and I may have sang this song maybe 3 or 4 times but i still remember all those times. Im sorry if this is embarrassing for you Chels, but we would act it out. Well it was more me trying to sing and Chelsea just acting like shes climbing. Everyone probably thinks im ridiculous and stupid but it was actually very fun.

1. Beautiful Soul- Jesse McCartney
This is definitely in my list of top 5 best songs ever. And it is just a really fun one to sing with all your friends. It really old song from back in the day when everyone was happy and we all got along, but its very chill. We(as in the bus buddies) tried multiple times to get the whole bus singing and a few times more people began singing but then Ms. Caroline would tell us to hush and as a result we just kept it as an exclusive thing just for us.

These are 5 songs which i really like and which me and my friends sang on our bus rides home

Top 5 Gaming Music

This would probably be easier if it was more a Top 20 playlist. I generally play whatever music I randomly happen to want while playing my games...but if I had to pick 5...

#1 - Strength by Abingdon Boys School (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7tmIZrs6RE)
I love this song because I feel so energized listening to it. And yes, it is in Japanese. I have no idea what the lyrics mean, but whenever I listen to it I feel pumped. Unfortunately, this leads to an increased chance of me doing something stupid in the game I'm playing...

#2 - Haunted by Disturbed
I haven't actually listened to this one in a while, but it's great. It's kinda weird too, but it makes me feel violent, which is always nice. It's so darkkkkkkk.

#3 - Whisper by Evanesence
How many people actually spell the band's name right? Anyway, I like this one pretty much for the same reason I like the other 2. It makes me feel energetic. The more variety in songs that do that, the more time I can feel energized. =D

#4 - Careless Whisper by Seether
I only found (rediscovered) this song today when looking at my younger brother's playlist. I recognized it as a song I really liked but never knew the name of. It...also...accomplishes what the three songs above do. Apparently, I'm only interested in songs that make me burn with an inner passion. Or something like that.

#5 - GAME OVER YAAAAAAAA!!!! from Sega Rally Championship 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6aRwky0W5Y&feature=related)
I am completely serious about this. When a friend of mine linked it to me, I was truly amazed. This is something for every gamer to have open in your browser just for the few times you need it. The sheer epicness of hearing game over that way just blows my mind, even now. Now obviously, this only really fits in a gaming playlist, but that's what this is. :]

Top 5 Late at Night

5)"Show and Tell"-Al Wilson
This song describes the depth of love between two people and the changes for the better because they are together. The tempo is pretty middle-of-the-row and combines smooth sound with periods of rapidity.
4)"Role Play"- Trey Songz
The tempo is mellowness at its best and creates a feeling of excitement and a sense of freshness that I feel is unparalleled by any other. It goes with this list because it is less traditional and a nice twist.
3)"If I Should Die Tonight"- Marvin Gaye
This song expresses true gratitude and is one of the best songs ever sung. It makes you forget about your troubles and give thanks for what makes you happy.
2)"Let's Stay Together"- Al Green
This song is similar to the last, but is more of a declaration of intentions. The rhythm is one of the best ever, and this is a great song to listen to after a fight.
1)"I Want You"- Marvin Gaye
VERY GROOVY SONG. The raw emotion in this song is captivating, it creates a sense of longing and more of a need than a want. I chose this as number one because it is the essence of the parallels between the rest of the songs; oh yeah, it's a great song in its own right as well. A Great song by the best ever.

You could put any one of these songs on repeat and be set for the whole night, but together I believe they perfectly compliment each other. This compilation expresses inner feelings in a beautiful array of rhythm and lyrics.

Assignment: the perfect playlist

"High Fidelity" (2000) was a film that was remarkably ahead of its time. The film tells the story of Rob Gordon, a washed-up music junkie (played by the fantastic John Cusack) who spends his days creating perfect 5 song playlists. There's his playlist for his worst break up ever, his playlist of the top 5 soul tracks released between 1955 and 1965, and his playlist for his ex-girlfriend's dad's funeral.

Today, thanks to Limewire, iTunes, the "genius" Itunes feature, and Pandora, creating a "perfect" playlist has never been easier.

On the other hand, Rob probably would be appalled by the slapdash way some of us throw together any group of songs above a certain tempo before we head to the gym, or take all those below a certain tempo and thoughtlessly label it “chillaxxx.” As Rob forewarned, “The making of a good compilation tape is a very subtle art. Many do’s and don’ts. You’re using someone else’s poetry to express how you feel. This is a delicate thing.”

So for this blog assignment, create a "perfect" playlist for something. It could be your perfect playlist to listen to at the gym (boring!), perfect playlist for a rainy day, perfect playlist for anything. . . be as creative as you can. Once you have chosen a topic, select 5 tracks for this playlist, noting the song and artist, and write a few sentences explaining why you chose this song, what this song adds to your playlist, why you put it where you did, and how it works with the other songs you selected to create a cohesive perfect playlist.

Sooo....

This blog really makes me think about the song "Shots." (shots shots shots shots shots). Also, it makes me think about listening to my friend's mom obnoxiously singing "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" as she rocks out to guitar hero. Either way, I'm losing my mind. After reading through some of the other blogs, I feel like all my ideas have been stolen! Hayes no joke stole with future wife, Taylor Swift. Unfair. But hey, I have a better idea (even though Taylor Swift is still MY future wife). I'll tell you about my dream last night....

It was a typical tuesday night. I was listening to the music most people don't like (Marshall Mathers). I was just about to hit the hey, when I realized I had new neighbors (This makes little sense to me as well.) I thought I should go over and meet them, like all polite neighbors do, and maybe give them a nice fruit basket. I knocked on the door and TALOR SWIFT answered. I freaked out for a little bit, obviously. Who wouldn't?! Love at first sight. Then I saw her boyfriend. Killer. And the worst part about it was that he was a jerk! I was so much better for Taylor, and she didn't even notice. I had to settle for "the friend." Eventually, we became better and better "friends", but i still had to hold back my undying love for her, and my hatred for the boyfriend. We spent every waking moment together. It came time for the senior dance. Taylor, of course was going with her boyfriend. This killed me on the inside. I did not originally plan on attending this dance, but was talked into it. I showed up to find Taylor, beautiful as ever, signaling for me to come over to her and...

Then I woke up... The rest of the story was left to my imagination.

Stingray mouth

We all watch movies, we're all familiar with Hollywood actors and the big stars. We're also familiar with our own lives, so....why not combine the two and discuss who would play the different roles of your life story?
I don't think my life is complete enough to really deserve to hit the bigscreen, but I'm confident that in another decade or two, my life will get turned into a film.

The role of me would be played by Denzel Washington or Marshall Mathers. The role of my wife would be played by my real life wife-Taylor Swift. Al Pacino would play my father and he would be a huge badass, like always. Basically, I've got the entire film set up-all I need is a life story and a producer..

COD:MW1/2

So like Ish said call of duty is basically the shit. By far, hands down, without a doubt, the best thing ever created. If it were not for school my life would be complete if I could sit in my basement and play 24/7. Eat. Sleep. COD. I'm happy to admit that yes, I am a gamer, and yes I am addicted. But there is never too much of a good thing as long as it never gets old or tiring and trust me, Call of Duty does NOT get old or boring. The game is developed to make you want to play and boy is that all I do. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I'm pretty damn skippy when it comes to skill at this game. I belong in a Hardcore Ricochet Search and Destroy Clan called CTR (Commitment Teamwork Respect). So you could say I take my gaming to the next level. You could say I put on for my city and you could say it ain't gamin unless I'm gamin, cause you'd be right. Because of certain factors (my idiot brother) I have actually only had the game for 8 days and only logged a total of 2 days of playing time, but this hasn't stopped me from already reaching my first prestige (70 levels). I have a kill/death ratio of 1.5- it could be better but my bro plays on the same account. My favorite season is summer because that is the time of unrestricted playing. I realize if you took the time to read this you probably don't know what's going on. Good. I <3 COD. If you got XBL, hit me up, CTRx BuRRR
