How we use words and communicate is the basis of how humans can relate and interact with one another. You can sometimes say more with HOW you speak and the vibes you give off than by the words you use. I think people can take advantage when they are angry of how easy it is to hurt someone- a simple snide remark can hurt deeper than it seems. I’ve been through this myself- arguing with my parents I begin to pick out everything that they do that upsets me and get a rude attitude, when really I’ll look back 10 minutes later and wonder why I just did that. It makes you feel strong, and, when you say a one-liner that leaves someone speechless you also feel smart and clever. I don’t find myself to be much of an angry person. I find it silly to hold grudges- we all make mistakes and when I’m in the present getting along with someone it’s hard to recall the past and be upset. Most of the time cruel words just bring more cruel words, and the cycle continues until someone can decide enough is enough, which no one wants to do.
