I don’t recall a specific time when my angry choice of words dramatically affected a situation, but I am sure that this has happened. I think people take for granted how much words do mean to people. The tone in which you speak can change the emotions of a moment. Anger can bring about a harsh tone. Even if it’s on purpose or not, the connotation of the conversation can be negative. A negative tone can lead to misunderstandings and possibly end in a bad way. Our words are important because it’s our main source of communication. You wouldn’t want to tarnish a relationship because you were angry and let your emotions talk for you. Carefully construction your dialogue when you’re angry can be beneficial. Saying something just because you feel like you want to say it is not usually the right thing to do. Anger can lead to dramatic situations. Avoiding those moments is always in your best interest.
