To tell you the truth, i didnt pay attention during a large portion of Obamas speech so if any of what i say in completely incorrect, please forgive me. Though i didnt listen to it, i am able to multi task so i was able to do my hw as well as hear bits and pieces of it.
I feel very proud to have a President who cares about us, the children. Up to this day, i dont recall any Presidents, namely Bush, to give a hoot about education. I mean, yeah they talked about it and crap but thats just because they had to. Its different with Obama. He actually seems to be passionate about this topic and wants the children in America to have a bright future. He knows that without education, sucess can never be achieved. (except in rare occasions)
What i liked most about Obamas speech was how he related to the youth. His experience in Indonesia and how he would get up at 4 am to study with his mom helped many students connect with him. Not only that, but his idea to mention facebook and twitter, something id say most teens are quite familiar with, also helped his cause.
Personally, i feel Obamas speech on Education came from the bottom of his heart, although some might argue otherwise. I dont know if i can say the same for his speech on HealthCare.
