This would probably be easier if it was more a Top 20 playlist. I generally play whatever music I randomly happen to want while playing my games...but if I had to pick 5...
#1 - Strength by Abingdon Boys School (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7tmIZrs6RE)
I love this song because I feel so energized listening to it. And yes, it is in Japanese. I have no idea what the lyrics mean, but whenever I listen to it I feel pumped. Unfortunately, this leads to an increased chance of me doing something stupid in the game I'm playing...
#2 - Haunted by Disturbed
I haven't actually listened to this one in a while, but it's great. It's kinda weird too, but it makes me feel violent, which is always nice. It's so darkkkkkkk.
#3 - Whisper by Evanesence
How many people actually spell the band's name right? Anyway, I like this one pretty much for the same reason I like the other 2. It makes me feel energetic. The more variety in songs that do that, the more time I can feel energized. =D
#4 - Careless Whisper by Seether
I only found (rediscovered) this song today when looking at my younger brother's playlist. I recognized it as a song I really liked but never knew the name of. It...also...accomplishes what the three songs above do. Apparently, I'm only interested in songs that make me burn with an inner passion. Or something like that.
#5 - GAME OVER YAAAAAAAA!!!! from Sega Rally Championship 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6aRwky0W5Y&feature=related)
I am completely serious about this. When a friend of mine linked it to me, I was truly amazed. This is something for every gamer to have open in your browser just for the few times you need it. The sheer epicness of hearing game over that way just blows my mind, even now. Now obviously, this only really fits in a gaming playlist, but that's what this is. :]
